Veszprém – Szeged pregame statements

The K&H League continues with the Hungarian Derby on Saturday at 19:30, between Telekom Veszprém and MOL-Pick Szeged. About the clash, we asked our head coach and players, what they expect from the match.

David Davis: I expect that we can play a good match and that it is going to be a good derby. I know that a lot of people wait for this game in Hungary. I think that we can make a good spectacle, but at the same time, we want to win. We know that it is one of the most important game for our Supporters, Club and player. Szeged is our biggest rival on the court in Hungary, so I hope that it is going to be a beautiful match that everyone can enjoy. Of course, I also hope that we win at the end.

Árpád Sterbik: We are in a difficult situation, because I think this game comes in the worst possible moment for us this year, as we have a lot of injured players. A Veszprém – Szeged derby is never the same, as any other match, I expect a victory. I hope that we can get the team together well for Saturday, to be able to play with an as complete team as possible.

Andreas Nilsson: This game is one of the most important of the season for us. The derby against Szeged is always tough. We have a good feeling before the game, despite of having some injuries. Our opponent has a great team, they have almost the same players for years now, so they play well together. They also have two really good goalkeepers to whom we have to look out for.

Blaz Blagotinsek: It will be a tough match like always against Szeged. I think there will be a really good atmosphere. The key to the match will be, as always, the defense, because without it, they will go through us. We have to play focused and then I think we have a good chance.
