Before the MKB-MVM Veszprém - PSG Handball Champions League quarter final rematch, Coach Ortega and his three players shared with us their opinions about this clash for the Final Four in Cologne.

Antonio Carlos Ortega: We performed well in Paris last Sunday; especially in defence but we have to improve our offence. We had some troubles in the last 2-3 minutes. Considering the result, however, I think if someone had told us that our home game would count in the qualification into Final Four, we probably would have agreed. Now we have to concentrate on Paris and we have to practice hard for the home game against them. We have to do our best because we want to get into the Final Four. At home, in front of our fans, we will be much stronger in the second match against Paris.

Carlos Ruesga: The second clash will be terribly hard because PSG is an outstanding team. Of course at home with the support of our fans, we want to make our dream come true and get into the Final Four. After the first game, we can say that we have to improve our offense and we also have to be focused during the whole game. If we do our best, we definitely will have the chance to qualify.

Péter Gulyás: We can blame only ourselves for losing the 5-point difference at the end of the game; in a game which we thought we could win. At the finish we chose wrong techniques in defence but mainly in the offence. So we are facing an extremely hard rematch. We have to concentrate for 60 minutes in order to defeat our French rival, which strengthened since last year. Winning a clash in a home game is obligatory!

Roland Mikler: We failed the game’s finish in Paris. We drew the consequences; one of them is that we have to maintain our stability of our defence. We should not get more than 24 goals. We have to make the best of all chances in offence relentlessly, and then we can achieve our goal to qualify. We need our fans’ usual support.
