On the last game of the regular season Telekom Veszprém hosted Tatabánya in the Veszprém Aréna. After the first home team play Markussen scored, but Tatabánya equalised quickly. Veszprém used again the 5:1 defence variation. The teams went head to head, but with Blagotinsek’s goal Veszprém ran away by 3 goals within seconds (6-3). Because of the lot of lost ball, the guests called a timeout in the 10. minute. At the middle of the first half Davis changed in almost every position in 3 goals advantage (10-7). After this Veszprém scored twice, then Tatabánya scored. In playmaker position this time Mahé organised the plays, the home team scored a lot of nice goals. At the end of the half the goalkeepers made som ebig saves. For the break Veszprém had 4 goals advantage.
 
The second half started with 3 Veszprém’s goals in a row, in the goal Cupara came. Tatabánya could not scored, they could score their first goal after 5 minutes. Marguc scored all his penalties with safe hand. In the 38. minute the home advantage was already 9 goals (22-13). Cupara had a good day, he saved in clear chances, too. From the guest team Balogh was on fire, in Veszprém side the players shared the goals. At the middle of the second half Veszprém increased their lead to 10 goals for the first time and the youngster Dörnyei scored as well. Tatabánya called 2 timeouts within 3 minutes, because the lack of idea in the attacks. They tried with 7 against 6 play, but the home defence worked well together. The 30. Veszprém’ s goal was scored by Strlek with a nice move. The guests came back within 10 goals, Cupara scored the last goal and Veszprém won the game with confident.
 

David Davis: Thanks to Tatabánya for taking the game seriously despite being exhausted and without many players. The preparation for the final starts today. The team played well, took the game seriously and the defense was really good. It is important that nobody was injured before the final.
 
Kentin Mahé: I am proud that we won the regular season unbeaten. We are preparing for the crucial games against Szeged.

 

 
Vladan Matic: Congratulations to Veszprém for the well-deserved victory. We did not have time to practice, only a day. Our performance was good in the first half, then declined in the second. We stayed below the 10 goals difference, which is good in the given situation. Congratulations to my team for the third place and for the all year performance. It was hard to get it, but finally we managed.
 
Dávid Debreczeni: Congratulation to Veszprém. In the beginning, we played good, then we got exhausted. All the season we suffered, because of injuries and missing players. Fortunately, we reached the third place. Thanks to everyone in the club Tatabánya to get the bronze medal.
