Telekom Veszprém visited Metaloplastika Sabac in the recent round of the SEHA –Gazprom League. The game started in a slow tempo, and with two goals by Paczkowski. The home team was not so sharp, and made turnovers, which led to easy Veszprém goals. Because of this, our advantage was three goals, 5:8. Not long after that, Veselin Vukovic called timeout, which had the better effect on his team, and came back to 10:10 thanks to their goalkeeper’s goals. Sabac had a two goals lead in the 25th minute, and even achieved a four goals lead. By the end of the first half, only three goals remained between the teams. Metaloplastika – Veszprém 18:15
 
Sabac continued the second half as they finished the first. They were scoring goals after goals and kept the lead they collected. Our defense, however, got stronger and forced the home team to technical mistakes, while Székely had some good saves. Thanks to this, we managed to equalize once again, 21:21. The home team took the lead once again in the 50th minute, 26:24. Our youngsters tried to play in different formations but they made too many technical mistakes. From a man advantage we came our really good, and equalize once again with two empty netters. Two minutes before the end of the game the home team went away with two goals, and it was just too much for the young team of Veszprém, and could not equalize again. Momir Ilic: It was a close game, but we missed a lot of chances. I am so sorry, that I had to used Strlek, Blagotinsek or Paczkowski. It was a bit much for them, so the young players need to do more and work a lot. They could see how difficult was it is to play against Sabac, and they are almost the same age. This is the moment where they have to make changes in their life and make great things. Also they have to work, work, work. This is a good thing that we had this opportunity, because the guys need to feel this.
 
Pawel Paczkowski: Tough game, tougher than we thought, because Sabac is a dangerous team at home. They defeated Brest here and fought equally with Zagreb. I think we could have won the game, and I am sad about this, but I am happy that I saw a fighting team today and that our young players showed that they are worth believing in.
 

Veselin Vukovic: It was a close game, and we had some lucky situations. For example our balls went into goal from the post, and theirs did not. This was mainly the key point of the match.
