Our second opponent of Tuesday is going to be Csurgói KK in the K&H League at 20:15. The game will be broadcasted live by Veszprém Handball TV YouTube channel.

We have met Csurgó in February the last time, in away. Dejan Manaskov was the most efficient in the game ending in a 24:31 with his nine goals. Veszprém could win thanks to mostly the performance in the second half, when they used a man advantage to reach a seven goals difference. The top scorer from the home team was Aleh Astrashapkin with six goals.

Csurgó is on the fifth position in the Hungarian league with nine points. The competition is close, as the fourth FTC is only one points away from Csurgó, while below them even the tenth Dabas is only trailing by two points. Our opponent collected four victories so far, with one draw and three losses. The top scorer of Csurgó is Marko Vasic with 29 goals.

Our opponent is through the second qualification round in the EHF Cup. The clash with Dobrogea Sud Constanta brought a close battle. In the first leg, Csurgó managed to win 22:24, then in the second leg, they managed to knock out the Romanians with a last second goal, who said goodbye to the tournament by scoring less goals in away than their opponent. The hero of the team on that game was Leimeter who sinked the ball right at the buzzer. Csurgó will face Frenc side Nimes in the third qualification round.

Over the summer four new players came, and four left the club. The newcomers are: Péter Pallag from Dabas, Csaba Leimeter from Budakalász, Gregor Potocnik from Zagreb and Ádám Gebhardt from Komló. Meanwhile, Martin Varjú and Tibor Balogh left the team, Tamás Farkas went on loan to PLER and Darko Pavlovic retired from active handball.
