Telekom Veszprém will play against PGE Vive Kielce in Poland on Saturday at 15:00 in the VELUX EHF Champions League. The game will be broadcasted live by Sport 1.

The history of the two teams show a huge advantage to Veszprém as we have won nine times so far and Kielce won twice, while finishing once in a draw. Our last encounter was in the semifinal of the Final4 in June. The unanimous player of the game was Petar Nenadic, who helped the team with his 12 goals to reach the final for the fourth time in Club’s history.

Kielce is currently on fifth position in our group with two wins and two losses, finishing once in a draw against Kiel in the first round. They suffered their losses against Porto and Montpellier. They managed to win their last game against Meshkov Brest in away, 27:31. The top scorer in the CL for Kielce is Blaz Janc with 26 goals.

In the Polish league Kielce is in the lead with their 24 points, but behind them closely is Wisla Plock, which managed to beat the current champions this year. Kielce’s other eight games went by without a problem, bagging victory on each one. They played on Tuesday in the domestic league, when they beat Kwidzyn confidently, 22:40. Arkadiusz Moryto is leading the team in goal scoring in the PGNiG Super League with 51 goals over nine games.

Many new players arrived to Kielce over the summer, such as Andreas Wolff from Kiel, Igor Karacic from Vardar, Mateusz Kornecki from Zabrze, Branko Vujovic from Celje, Doruk Pelivhan from Fivers Margareten, Tomasz Gebala from Plock and Romaric Guillo from Nantes. In the meanwhile, Filip Ivic left to Gummersbach, Michal Jurecki went to Flensburg, Marko Mamic signed with Leipzig, Luka Cindric now plays in Barcelona, and Bartolomiej Bis agreed with Zabrze.

The ”Építők” won most of their latest games. Last time, they won against the titleholder HC Vardar on home court. Rasmus Lauge scored eight times during the 39:30 victory.
