The Fans have voted our Serbian center back the best player of 2018/19. He spent his first full year in Telekom Veszprém last season and did tremendous help for the team, reaching the final of the VELUX EHF FINAL4. Now he has been awarded with the Carlos Perez award. We asked him about this and his thoughts on the last season.

Congratulations to you for winning Carlos Perez award, as best player of 2018/19 voted by the Fans. How does it feel?

Thanks for the congratulations. It always feels good to get a recognition from people who love this Club and are here every game, respecting what you do. It is beautiful and amazing. We are in the new season so we have new goals. Thank you for everyone.

You completed your first full year at the Club last season. Looking back, how do you see that year?

I feel good here, I have very good company and good players. The Club is working on an amazing level. It is very good to play here in this Arena, with this kind of atmosphere. It is going amazing so far, but we have so many games that I almost never have time to think about these kind of things. It was interesting to see how people saw us last October and November, and how we could change their minds by Spring. In the end, with their help, we made our goals. There were some bad feelings about the Champions League final, but life is like this.

What are your goals for the future with Telekom Veszprém?

The goals are the same. As I said on my first day with the Club, my goal is to win the Champions League. It is simple like this.
